Holmes Architects is directed by Matthew Holmes who worked as an architect in Oxford at Design Storey Architects and Hudson Architecture Studio where he designed several high-quality residential projects.  Matthew is also a certified designer in a building standard known as Passivhaus (Passive House) that uses very little energy for space heating.  Any architectural designs by Holmes Architects will be well insulated and thoughtfully detailed.

Bampton is located within the West Oxfordshire District Council area and they will act as the local planning authority for any applications.  The West Oxfordshire Local plan 2031 indicates a conservation area to the southwestern half of Bampton including its centre.  If you are seeking planning permission with the conservation area, we would advise seeking pre-application advice from the council on any schemes that have the potential to be contentious in order to alleviate any concerns that the planning officer may have.
